Interviewed by Ilua Hauck da Silva, the founder of The DAFTAS Tamara Orlova has commented on the night: “It was great to see such wide range of film submissions this year. Our judges were impressed with the overall quality of films submitted. It was also interesting to see just how the opinions of judges have split on some of the awards.”

Filmmaker and Composer Tom Lawes has agreed and elaborated further: “Until recently, I was a Cinema owner and I’m full aware of the power of the cinema. And still, watching the shortlisted films o n a big screen together with the audience was completely different experience than watching them on my laptop. Having watched those films again, I might have voted differently on some films.”

The socialite guests including two-times Emmy nominated Director Stephen Robert Morse, London-based socialite Mason Smillie and actor Mark Ebule among others were in good spirits as they watched the films and were entertained by the comedy duo.

The DAFTAS Organisers would like to thank our sponsors and supporters – British Association of Journalists, Kirk & Kirk, Ikon London Magazine, Royal Riviera Champagne and Online CBD Shop.
