Meet The DAFTAS Team

Tamara is a London-based publisher, filmmaker and founder of the DAFTAS. As a journalist and Editor of Ikon London Magazine, Tamara can often be seen reporting from the most prestigious film festivals and awards ceremonies the world has to offer including Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, TIFF and BAFTA to name just a few.

Tamara’s love for film began in 2014 where she found herself on set of Crossing Over (2016) as part of indie production team. Most recently, Tamara has been working as a Production Coordinator on the DarkGame starring Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl, Chalet Girl) and has co-produced a feature thriller Escape alongside award-winning Director Howard J Ford (The Dead, The Ledge, Adventure Boyz); both of which are to be released in 2023.

Stephanie Takyi is one of the most accomplished and versatile journalists in the UK today. She is currently an Editor at the Daily Mail and an on-screen Entertainment Reporter with GBNews, Stephanie has travelled the world as a travel journalist and continues to write for magazines worldwide.

As an experienced journalist, Stephanie is a passionate experienced keynote speaker, panellist specialising in covering topics including: breaking into the media industry for college /university students; and travelling solo for women.

Born in Hastings, Darren has extensive experience in the corporate world excelling in data management and client liaison before moving into the creative industries including Film, Fashion and Art.

Darren joined the team as a brand ambassador after winning a DAFTA (Best Male Actor in The Fetishman, 2020).
