The DAFTAS Announces Films in Competition for 2022

  • The DAFTAS draw took place at The Martians bar on the 3rd of February, where team leaders and fans were present.
  • People were also able to tune in and watch the draw online through Facebook and Instagram live. This year, 21 team leaders took part in the draw, with 10 films being selected for this year’s DAFTAS.

The day we’ve been all waiting for has finally arrived. The British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) have announced their 2022 film nominations to the one-thousand strong audience who tuned in to watch on YouTube.

Presented by sizzling duo AJ Odudu and Tom Allen from the stage of 195 Piccadilly, there seem to have been a lot of surprise selections – or rather lack thereof.

Leaving drama aside, the organisers of The DAFATS have selected seven films for their 2022 edition. Among them are No Time to Die, Last Night in Soho, Belfast, The Power of The Dog, House of Gucci, Dune, and Don’t Look Up.

The DAFTAS film draw took place as usual, on the evening of BAFTA nominations. Streamed both on Instagram Live and Facebook Live, the organisers also welcomed Team Leaders at Martinez Private Members Bar in Soho, Central London.
